Mark L Fine
Mark L. Fine is one of Southern Nevada's preeminent real estate developers. As president of American Nevada Company, he guided the development and growth of Green Valley, Southern Nevada's first large scale master-planned community. After 17 years of developing Green Valley, Fine became president of the Summerlin division of the Howard Hughes Corporation and led the company until 1995. He was responsible for launching the Summerlin master-planned community, which became the nation's fastest selling community less than two years after the first family moved there.

Creating a strong sense of community is Fine's top priority as a developer. Open spaces, parks, public art, schools and libraries have always been important aspects of his developments. His public art program, which featured outdoor sculpture, was embraced by the community and was rated Best of the Best by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Fine is deeply committed to the Las Vegas community. His affiliations have included serving on the Southern Nevada Strategic Planning Authority, serving as a board member of the Andre Agassi Foundation, and serving as president of the board of Class! Publications. Fine has been active in the Clark County School District for more than 30 years and is the founding director of the Clark County Business School Partnership Advisory Board. In 2007, Fine adopted Booker Empowerment Elementary School and has worked closely with administrators and educators to create and fund value added programming for the school. He is also chairman of the UNLV Foundation, an organization he has been involved with for more than 25 years, and former chairman of the UNLV Research Foundation Board of Directors.

Fine was a member of the Urban Land Institute for more than 30 years, a founder of the Las Vegas chapter of the Young President's Organization, trustee emeritus and former executive committee member of the Nevada Development Authority and a former member of the Nevada Tax Commission. He has been a founding director of two community banks, Continental National Bank and Nevada First Bank.

Fine is married to Gloria Fine. He has two daughters, two sons, a stepdaughter, and five beautiful grandchildren. Family is the most important thing to Fine, and he would like to be known as a good parent and someone who left his community a better place. Fine enjoys spending time with his family, taking bicycle trips with Gloria, traveling the world and golfing.
